Paris Fashion Week 2026 opens today: the Spring/Summer 2027 season, explained

The Spring/Summer 2027 women's ready-to-wear season opens in Paris today. The calendar runs from 28 September to 6 October and holds 68 shows and 33 presentations — around one hundred events across nine days. It opens with Julie Kegels at 14:30 and closes with Louis Vuitton on the evening of 6 October.

What opening day looks like

Day one belongs to discovery rather than spectacle. Julie Kegels opens the week with a 14:30 show, followed by presentations from Fidan Novruzova, Kimhékim and Vautrait, and shows from Weinsanto and Maxhosa Africa, a first-time name on the official Paris calendar. By early afternoon, the streets around the central venues already feel unlike an ordinary Paris Monday.

The days that follow

The calendar front-loads the marquee names. On 29 September, Dior, Saint Laurent and Maison Margiela — back in Paris after showing last season's collection in Shanghai — all appear. Courrèges presents its first collection under a new artistic director on 30 September, Carven follows on 1 October, Miu Miu takes a Sunday slot, and Chanel keeps the Monday-evening position it has held for two seasons. Alaïa closes its week with a presentation on 3 October, before Louis Vuitton brings the season to an end on 6 October.

Invitation-only, always

Almost everything on the official calendar is accessible by invitation only, and the seating plans keep moving until the final days before each show: buyers confirm late, press desks reshuffle, VIPs decline. What to do in Paris while the shows run

The season is as much city as runway.
