How last-minute Paris Fashion Week access actually works

Why seats appear at the last minute

Fashion houses allocate invitations long in advance, but the final seating plan is not fixed until a few days before the show. Press desks reshuffle photographers, buyers confirm late, VIPs decline and plus-ones change. Each shift creates a small number of available seats that were never in the public inventory.

How Sebienne gets access

Sebienne works directly with press offices, independent PRs and personal contacts built over several seasons. When a seat becomes available, we are told before it is offered anywhere else. We then match it to a guest whose dates, style and group size fit the invitation.

What guests need to provide

A confirmed full name exactly as it appears on the guest’s passport or ID, plus an email and phone number. Venues check ID at the door and names cannot usually be changed after a certain deadline—sometimes 48 hours, sometimes the morning of the show.

Timing and confirmation

Some confirmations arrive a week ahead, others 24 to 48 hours before. We only send guests an invitation once it is firm and transferable. If a seat opens too late to be useful, we decline it rather than promise something uncertain.

If the show is not available

Show access is never guaranteed. When a specific show is not possible, we explain the situation honestly and usually suggest a comparable alternative—a different show the same day, a showroom appointment, or a styling session.
